Panini NIL: Led by Star QBs, Texas and Ohio State Rout Foes

It was another bonkers day of college football on Nov. 9, 2024, with thrilling upsets and come-from-behind victories across the country. In action were two of Panini’s NIL partners, the Texas Longhorns and Ohio State Buckeyes. While you can get your hands on cards of several star players from both squads, allow us to offer a recap of their performances from Saturday.

The star of the show in both games was offense, led by their respective quarterbacks: Quinn Ewers and Will Howard. While Ewers shredded the Florida defense for 333 yards and a career-high five touchdowns, Howard was equally sensational against Purdue, throwing for 260 yards and totaling four touchdowns.

Not only are these star playmakers the engine that makes their respective teams go, but they’re also going to be featured on upcoming must-have Panini Instant releases. Ewers will be joined alongside his talented peer Arch Manning on a dual card that Texas fans – and all college football fans – everywhere will want. As for Howard, he will be getting his own coveted Instant card as well.

The defenses also shined in both the Longhorns’ 49-17 victory and the Buckeyes’ 49-0 shutout. For Texas, the player of the game on the defensive side of the ball was undoubtedly Anthony Hill Jr. Consistently making sure he was around the ball, the linebacker tallied eight tackles and helped keep the Florida offense in check.

In Columbus, the defensive standout was safety Sonny Styles. Proving again to be an elite option in coverage for Ohio State, the safety also came downhill and recorded five tackles, including a sack.

With the regular season ending in the coming weeks, these athletes and the rest of their teammates continue to vie for a spot in conference championships and the revamped College Football Playoff. As for collectors, they have the opportunity to own cards of these players and teams in the championship hunt.
