I'm among the fortuitous few who happened to be present earlier today when five unsigned Rookie Silhouettes inserts from the forthcoming 2010-11 Crown Royale Hockey set arrived in the building, hot off the printing press.

What I saw left me knee-weak and borderline breathless.
These particular gems are part of the Rookie Silhouette Patch set, a parallel to Crown Royale’s equally gorgeous Rookie Silhouette Rookie Cards. Not long after I spent a few torrid minutes with them for scanning purposes, the cards were boxed and on their way to the respective players for on-card autographs.
Fittingly, 2010-11 Crown Royale Hockey is slated to arrive just two days after Valentine’s Day. After all, we have a feeling collectors will be falling head over heels in love with these beauties.
Stay tuned for a follow-up gallery after the cards have been signed.
And anyone who thinks hockey cards can’t be beautiful clearly have yet to see these . . .
Looks like another winner. With Certified and Limited both sell outs…Crown should do well also. Here’s the full product information on the product:

Thanks for sharing these, Tracy. These may be the most beautiful cards I’ve ever seen. The design is absolutely fantastic. I can’t wait to see them when they’ve got their autographs on.
I’m not sure Y, but these cards look cooler than the Football Crown. Is there a set list out yet? I would like to know if there are any Buffalo Sabres Rookie Silhouette Patches. Those are awesome looking!!!
Wait for it……………yup, it’s coming, the haters will say you guys did a poor job because part of the patch is covered.
Let them whine, I’ll take that Brayden Schenn all day long.
Great looking cards, bravo gentlemen, bravo.
They do look sweet – hopefully case collation is fixed for this release, otherwise, it’s still my last Panini case.
I for one can’t wait!!!!Simply stunning and I am pretty sure even more stunning in hand……..really like the silver pewter binding like on the card and once autographed they are going to be fantastic…………
I like the concept of these and the football versions. It’s such a cool marriage of die cutting and relics. Now I just need to get lucky enough to pull one.
Any plans to expand this concept to other sports and products?
I sure hope we continue to use this concept. It’s just beautiful.
how much there is to be thus memorabilia cards? 4 box or 1 per box on how to write dacardworld?
