Photo Variations Add Rare Rookie Chase to Panini America’s 2014 Prestige Football

Panini America’s 2014 Prestige Football has been live for all of six days now — but that’s more than enough time for astute collectors to discover the existence of rare photo-variation SSPs of 10 top rookies in the set: Blake Bortles, Derek Carr, Eric Ebron, Jadeveon Clowney, Johnny Manziel, Marqise Lee, Mike Evans, Sammy Watkins, Teddy Bridgewater and Tre Mason.

The alternate-version Rookie Cards carry the same card number as their base counterparts but feature dramatically different photography of the respective players in their NFL uniforms. Although exact quantities of each card will not be released, the Rookie Card SSPs are falling two to three per case. Below we profile each of the 2014 Prestige Football photo-variation RCs (on the left) along with its base-set counterpart (on the right).
