The Panini America NFL product team made a small piece of hobby history Monday morning by taking command of the Panini America Twitter account to provide live updates from the packout process for 2014 Elite Football. It marked the first time that Panini America’s Chris Barr transferred his hockey takeover talents to the football field.

As a result, our Twitter followers had the best seat in the house Monday morning as the Elite packout unfolded with several explosive sneak peeks of the goodness to come when the product releases one week from today. We’re still lobbying Barr to change his Twitter handle from @PaniniPuck to @PaniniPigskin, thanks in large part to Tweets such as these:

But those are just the Twitter highlights. In the Quality Control Gallery that follows, we provide 108 more reasons to share our excitement for next week’s release of 2014 Elite Football, including the triumphant returns of the spindle-mounted Down & Distance memorabilia cards and laser-cut Profiles, the introduction of the Clarity Plexiglas cards, a stacked autograph roster, the multicolored parallel chases of Status, Aspirations and Turn of the Century, and, well, a whole lot else.

Enjoy the gallery — and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance for additional coverage.

  1. Dear Tracy,

All I want for the next 25 Christmases is that Manning-Brady dual auto.

    Yours truly,
    Every collector who ever lived

  2. One question… Why a “Passing the Torch” of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady? Completely goes off course of what Passing the Torch has always been. And then to number it so low as to only two collectors can get it? Makes no sense to me, at all.

  3. BAM! POW! FWAP! KABLAM!
What can I say, the re-imagined and totally tweaked Elite looks awesome. The updated Status autos are so sweet with the razor-edge die-cuts! The continued maturation of the “New Breed” auto jerseys is a very welcome and value boosting addition.

All in all, it looks to be another brilliant year for one of Panini’s seminal Football products! Really nice work, guys.

  4. Does Tracy or anyone know if the regular rookie inscriptions autographs are short printed? And are the regular rookie autographs short printed?

    Thanks!
