Teaser Gallery: Panini America Breaks Two Early Boxes of the New 2020 Legacy Football

Panini America’s 2020 Legacy Football arrives in hobby shops across North America tomorrow boasting an eclectic, entertaining mix of old and new that includes an aesthetic arsenal steeped in nostalgia, deft use of Optichrome technology in both standard and miniature form and lots of ink from the biggest stars from the 2020 NFL Draft.

As you saw in yesterday’s Quality Control Gallery and as you’ll see again in the Teaser Gallery that follows, 2020 Legacy Football is a blast to bust. On average, each hobby box (eight cards per pack, 16 packs per box, 12 boxes per inner case, two inner cases per master case) will deliver two autographs, four Premium Edition Optichrome parallels and two Premium Edition Optichrome Minis.

There’s also the spectacular reintroduction of the inviting “Dare to Tear” concept that just might unearth some rare Optichrome Minis for those collectors courageous enough to accept the challenge. (In fairness, Panini America production officials have utilized perforation technology to make the process a little less . . . destructive.)

Our earlier Instagram post (below) carefully details the “Tearing” process. It’s worth noting that Legacy Football reintroduces the “Dare to Tear” concept for the first time since the 2010-11 product season. Look for rare Premium Edition Emerald Minis limited to fewer than 25 copies that are exclusive to “Dare to Tear” cards. “Dare to Tear” cards fall roughly once per inner case.
