Teaser Gallery: Panini America Opens Boxes of 2016 Immaculate Collegiate Baseball

There are loaded products . . . and then there are products like Panini America's new 2016 Immaculate Collegiate Baseball. The collegiate baseball debut of the popular Immaculate brand arrives in hobby shops across North America today boasting some of the most content-rich contents the college baseball trading card category has ever seen. That's not hyperbole.

If last week’s Quality Control Gallery doesn’t convince you of that, perhaps the following Teaser Gallery will. To celebrate today’s official release date, we grabbed four boxes of 2016 Immaculate Collegiate Baseball to give collectors an idea of what to expect. And what collectors can expect is lots of autographs, lots of memorabilia and lots of value.

On average, each 10-card box of 2016 Immaculate Collegiate Baseball delivers one base or parallel card, one memorabilia card and eight autographs. The following gallery takes you card by card through four boxes. Enjoy the imagery and stay tuned for continued coverage.

  1. As a Mizzou alum, and I’d like to believe, Mizzou’s #1 collector of cardboard, I’d be happy with an early Xmas present of either of the Scherzers….lol
    Good lucking product!
    MIZ!

  2. LOL Brian Johnson in every box. I don’t think Panini would like this coming out already of how many fillers are already in this product. Assuming you have a 50/50 chance of either getting a Brian Johnson, Trea Turner, or Kyle Schwarber. That’s what happens when a product has sticker autos. It gets filled with which ever player signed the most that year. Looking for a product that has autos of guys that might not be huge drawers but have little or no autos. Instead of the handful of guys always filling every product.

  3. I think I counted 7 Schwarber autos, and a 1/1 duel relic of him, and like 5-6 of each of Brian Johnson and Trea Turner. Schwarber and Turner are nothing to sneeze at, but really? Couldn’t they be spread out a bit more? I really hope all four of the boxes weren’t from the same case, because that would be insane.
The one thing I’m happy to not see is redemptions though. Still waiting for half of the rookie class from 2015 Immaculate Football (Amari Cooper, Karlos Williams, Jeremy Langford, Tevin Coleman, Devante Parker and more..) to sign. Considering some of them have already signed for the 2016 Immaculate football, that just released, would have been appreciated if Panini could have asked them to sign for last year’s cards at the same time.
