The UPDATED Debut of the 2010-11 Playoff Contenders Hockey Golden Ticket Tracker
First things first: We offer our sincere apologies for just now bringing you this first installment of the eagerly awaited 2010-11 Playoff Contenders Hockey Golden Ticket Tracker. It’s been a wild few months around these parts but we’ve finally devoted our full attention to chronicling the 20 pieces of precious 14-karat gold metal randomly buried inside packs of 2010-11 Playoff Contenders Hockey.
To date, there have been 10 Golden Tickets discovered (but only four redeemed), which means there are still 10 hiding around the hobby somewhere.
For those who don’t know, Panini America introduced the industry’s first 14-karat gold trading cards last winter in 2010 Playoff Contenders Football, creating a country-wide frenzy that still hasn’t completely subsided. That auspicious debut paved the way for the hockey counterpart to launch in the late-May release of Contenders Hockey.
You can see the exclusive first look at many of the hockey history-makers in the sizable gallery below. But first, here’s a snapshot of the Golden Tickets redeemed so far
(Editor’s Note: Thanks to our comrades at Sports Card Forum (notably Turner Shears and Knight’s Lance readers Richard McAdam and Matt Godbout), we’ve already made additions to this list by adding all known Golden Tickets that have been pulled but not yet redeemed):
