A revolution is coming. Actually, Panini America's newest creation -- 2015-16 Revolution Basketball -- is coming. And it's bringing with it a foilboard-based feast for the eyes and a robust -- and borderline enchanting -- parallel structure that mandates collectors pay close attention to the surface nuances of each and every card they pull.
A revolution is coming. Actually, Panini America’s newest creation — 2015-16 Revolution Basketball — is coming. And it’s bringing with it a foilboard-based feast for the eyes and a robust — and borderline enchanting — parallel structure that mandates collectors pay close attention to the surface nuances of each and every card they pull.
In all, there are seven distinct parallels in Revolution Basketball featuring varying degrees of scarcity and names inspired by the funky foilboard surface patterns on them. The lineup includes Nova and Infinite (each falling one every six packs), Angular (one in 12 packs), Cosmic (numbered to 100), Sunburst (numbered to 75), Futura (numbered to 25) and Galactic (one in 288 packs).
All seven parallels appear in the 150-card base set (100 current stars, 50 rookies), but only the Cosmic and Galactic versions carry over to the Rookie Revolution, New Wave, Icons and Showstoppers inserts.
Of course, 2015-16 Revolution Basketball is about more than just chase-worthy parallels with flashy names and flashier effects. It’s also about a tough-but-top-notch and exclusively on-card autograph checklist (autographs fall roughly two per eight-box inner case).
The Quality Control Gallery that follows should provide greater insight into the product. Stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance later this week for a complete visual guide to all seven Revolution parallels. Until then, enjoy the eye candy . . .

These are great looking. And an excellent opportunity for me to mention something I was reminded of a couple weeks ago: 2000 Revolution football was amazing looking and I’d love to see the design again with current players.
Just look at that!
ALLLLLMOST! (but strangely inserts in Prime Signatures)
Is Sasha Kaun ever going to get a rookie card?
I really like the design and photography on these cards.
Appreciate the feedback. Sasha Kaun has rookie cards in 2015-16 Threads Basketball and is planned for Limited, Excalibur and National Treasures.
What an intense series of parallels coupled with solid on card autograph content, 2 great qualities to drive this program. Thanks Tracy!
Very nice art work, eye popping yet still a gret CLEAN looking product. Keep these great products coming!
