Even after all these years, the act of merely opening a pack of Panini America’s Gold Standard Basketball product feels like a decadent exercise. Ripping off the cellophane seems normal enough, but when you slide open the gold-brick packaging to find a golden-wrapped pack lying majestically in its golden pocket, well, the vibe seems to grow more . . . golden. And so it is again with today’s release of 2016-17 Gold Standard Basketball.

You got a first look at the product yesterday in our Quality Control Gallery; in the Teaser Gallery that follows, we indulge ourselves by ripping four boxes of the product for preview purposes. As you’ll see, each box of 2016-17 Gold Standard Basketball delivers three autograph or memorabilia cards and a glistening assortment of gilded parallels.

Enjoy the Teaser Gallery and stick around afterward for the complete product checklist.

Nice looking cards, but if I got one of those 3 boxes I’d feel like I paid too much for what I got.

How amazing….. 2 rookie autos in each box. My boxes didn’t turn out that way. Hmmmm

Those are some nasty patches on the quad relics, excellent yield from a few boxes. Thanks Tracy!
