Video: Panini America Trails Geno Smith on Tour of Super Bowl XLVII’s Radio Row
NEW ORLEANS — On a whirlwind tour of Super Bowl XLVII’s Radio Row inside the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on Friday afternoon, top-rated 2013 NFL Draft prospect Geno Smith steadfastly made the rounds, talking to everyone from ESPN to NBC Sports to CBS Sports to Sirius XM and seemingly every big media outlet in between.
Smith’s talking points on that productive tour? Among other things, the upcoming NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs (who hold the No. 1 pick in April’s draft), his just-inked relationship with Panini America and his participation in Saturday’s Panini America Pop Warner Skills Clinic. Throughout the day, Smith carried with him special copies of his 2013 Score Football Rookie Card that he proudly showed off. Behind him, a trusty Panini America camera man was there to document the day’s events.
Wedged between interviews with the big boys, the former West Virginia superstar QB sat down with Panini America’s Tracy Hackler for a quick discussion on Smith’s collecting pursuits when he was a kid, signing his first trading card deal, perhaps signing with the Chiefs and his Rookie Card. Heck, Smith was so do-it-all dynamic that he even found time to open a few packs of 2012 Prizm Football. It’s all right here in the following must-see video:
